A bungalow was required for a mentally disabled child, his sibling and mother. The location was very important for proximity to family, schooling and work commitments. Eventually a dormer bungalow in the desired location was purchased.
Design
Having a younger brother, it was important that playtime was encouraged in a safe but homely environment, whilst still providing facilities for a full time carer in a separate area of the home.
Key Features
To complement the modernising of the home, a large orangery was built at the rear to provide a bright play space directly of the lounge, and leading onto an extensive decking area with play equipment.
